IAVE creates global structures to enable members to learn from and support one another, with programming that addresses challenges and enhances the participation and effectiveness of volunteers. We support a global network of leader-practitioners who can speak to the value of volunteering in building safe, civil and resilient societies.

We bring together diverse groups of leaders of volunteering in settings that encourage discussion, reflection and learning. Participants are invited to focus on specific issues challenging volunteering and on how to increase the impact of volunteering on the world’s most pressing problems. IAVE’s convenings include biennial World Volunteer Conferences and Regional Volunteer Conferences, as well as Special Interest Convenings to focus attention on issues of significant interest to target audiences.
IAVE’s Global Corporate Volunteer Council (GCVC) is a leadership network for global companies that share a commitment to engaging their employees as volunteers in their communities. By equipping corporate social responsibility (CSR) professionals with the tools and resources they need, GCVC helps its members advance their global employee volunteer programs cross departmentally and globally.
