Ideathon registration closes on 29 January!
This March, three teams will win $25,000 to implement their winning idea about volunteering for the environment. The “Volunteering for Sustainability” Virtual Ideathon, 4–6 March 2024, is a partnership between IAVE and Emirates Foundation, the UAE Ministry of Climate Change & Environment, and Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, sponsored by General Motors.
Here are a few takeaways from the info session we held this week:
- Each team is limited to three team members and a coach. Solo participants are not eligible.
- Corporate teams are not eligible. But corporate employees are welcome to join nonprofit teams as private citizens.
- Camila Colmenares from Dividendo Voluntario para la Comunidad in Venezuela said that just being a finalist in the last Ideathon gave her team a platform and access to partnerships that benefitted the whole organization.
