Eva Halper

Director, Global Corporate Volunteer Council (GCVC)

Biography

With a career focused on education, sustainable development, and philanthropy, Eva has over two decades of experience in fostering impactful cross-sector partnerships in these areas.

Moving to China in the 1990s provided Eva with an opportunity to change careers from teaching to development. During her 7 years in China,  Eva worked for an international development agency  where she was responsible for funding grass roots projects in education, health, agriculture and animal husbandry.  In 1998 Eva moved to the UK where she initially worked in the not for profit sector, focusing on cross sector partnerships with multi-nationals to address social and educational issues in the UK and globally.

Skilled in guiding initiatives from strategic planning to on-the-ground execution, in 2008 Eva was recruited to develop and lead two flagship programs for the foundation of an international Swiss bank: a global education initiative – a grant program supporting organizations working on girls’ education – and an international skills based volunteering program for the bank’s employees. After 15 years at the bank, Eva has now joined IAVE and the GCVC.

Eva is fluent in English, French, and Polish, with intermediate proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
