Last week for European e-volunteering competition
Are you running a project in which volunteers can help others via the Internet? This is the final week to join the ‘Discover e-volunteering’ Competition! Don’t miss this opportunity to win prizes to develop your volunteering projects. You have time until September 16th, 2011 to submit your application online.
E-volunteering is a volunteer work conducted via the Internet. Free Web counseling, forming assistance and self-help groups, coordinating campaigns, researching information, or teaching on-line courses are among many examples of e-volunteering. Through this Competition we hope to show the diversity of e-volunteering projects, and to encourage all Europeans to undertake social activity on the Internet!
Any organisation from the European Union that cooperates with volunteers helping others through the Internet may take part in the Competition. The application form is available on the website: http://www.e-volunteering.eu/competition/. The deadline for submitting the applications is September 16, 2011.
Attractive financial awards for the Competition winners are funded by the Polish Fundacja Orange (1st prize), Fondation Orange from France (2nd Prize) and Intel Technology Poland Ltd (3rd prize). The total sum of prizes in the Competition is 6,000 euro.
Winners of the ‘Discover e-volunteering’ Competition will be chosen by the International Selection Committee and Internet users in online voting, which will be open to the public from October 12th, to November 3rd, 2011 on the web.
The official announcement of the winners of the Competition will take place in November 2011 during the Final Gala in Warsaw.
