IAVE 21st World Volunteer Conference Workshop 516: Marking the Tenth Anniversary of the International Volunteering: A Global Vision for Concrete Action

Marking IYV+10 is a unique opportunity to increase recognition, facilitation, networking, and promotion of volunteering, which are the so-called four pillars of volunteerism according to UNV. This workshop will look ta the ways in which volunteer organizations can seek to achieve the vision of, and enhance volunteerism's contribution to the Millennium Development Goals, focusing on key examples of effective strategic development and its role in further augmenting the role of  volunteerism in national development. The workshop also provides participants with a chance to discuss how bets to engage actively with governments, businesses and international entities like the UN on both a local and national level, with the goal of identifying strategies which can further achieve the four pillars of IYV+10.
