IAVE 21st World Volunteer Conference Workshop 115: Maximising the Power of One: The Restructuring Strategy

IAVE IRC

It starts with the power of one. But many times, good initiatives, no matter how well-meaning, get stuck at the power of that one individual, for lack of tactical shifts. The speakers of this workshop will share how they had to review the way they were operating to epscale their operations and move to the next level of development. For Michael Brosowski with Blue Dragon Children's Foundation in Vietnam, as the needs and demands grew, so did the need to move from an informal volunteering network to a registered NPO. Robert Kee, in the course of his many decades on the field has had to change his modus operandus in the area of resource mobilization to ensure that the work he started continues to prosper.

The speakers will impress on participants the need for "constant adaptations" in the course of delivering services/resourcing operations, so that truely the Power of One can be sustained over the long haul for the greater good.
