Global Youth Service Day, April 20-22, 2012

IAVE IRC

Millions of children, teens, and young adults, ages 5-25, and adult allies and champions take part in Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) every year. This year, GYSD will be celebrated from April 20-22, 2012, in over 100 countries on 6 continents. The theme is "Youth Changing The World" to address critical issues: including health, education, environment, hunger, poverty, disaster preparedness and response, and human rights.

GYSD is for youth working together with schools, youth organizations, nonprofits, community and faith-based organizations, volunteer and national service programs, government agencies, faith communities, and other adult allies. Get involved to be a part of the largest, and longest-running, annual day of service, and the only day of service dedicated to engaging and celebrating children and youth.
